Outer Banks Christmas Party Design
Crazy fun décor on this job! We got to design the company Christmas Party for Twiddy and Co held at Jennette's Pier this year! Renee came up with the Gingerbread House contest concept walking through the aisle of Target trying to think of a clever, outside the box, holiday party theme. In the spirits of recycle and reuse, we repurposed former year décor such at 8 foot trees and wooden deer silouettes, and gave them a new look. We purchased bulk candy online and wiped out the green sprinkle cookie decorating section at our local stores. Fast forward a few days, and LOTS of time spent sprinkling, and wahlah- Giant sprinkle tree cookies!
For the focal point over the mantle, we had two candy covered deer cut outs that were made with over 1000 chocolate Neccos, and 8 pounds of nonpareils! The colorful tootsie roll garlands were made with toilet paper rolls wrapped in bright tissue.
16 different Twiddy Teams then went to secret locations to design their masterpieces throughout the week and were all to be awarded different awards during the party. For the awards ceremony, we covered trophies in spray mount and dipped them in a vat of sprinkles, finishing off in polyurethane! Of the 16 categories, the award titles all reflect some aspect of the Twiddy day to day home rental operations (very clever!)
