This studio story begins with a side hustle in 2004.
Renee, a single mom working a day job as an exhibit designer, decided to turn her kitchen into a flower studio on the weekends to make a little extra cash. With an infant in the bouncy chair, Renee covered every food prep surface with buckets, ribbons, flowers and tools and opened her doors for business.
Much to everyone’s delight, the little kitchen side hustle has grown today to support 3 locations, 2 warehouses, a pickup truck named the Panty Dropper, 5 studio pets, a carpenter, welder, lighting designer, and an incredible awe-inspiring team of assistants and protégé’s!
Renee has been awarded many super cool honors for her work, including runner up for the position of Chief White House Florist! Wonderful clients have come from near and far, their stories gracing countless magazines, fashion editorials and blogs. Renee’s added lighting design and rentals to her repertoire. And her latest side hustle… you’ll find her teaching and studying yoga in the off season.
